Running Clubs & Groups

The athletic challenge of the race course, the competition and the spirit of the event bring more clubs and running groups every year.  If you belong to a club and would like to run the race as a group, please contact us and we will work with you to get your group set up with us.  We always call out groups for recognition during race day.

Each year Ryan's Run reaches out to runner groups on Facebook, Yahoo Groups, Craigs list and other runner forums.  If you have a group on one of these platforms, please POST the information about our race.  Word-of-mouth is our strongest means to spread the word about our organization and event.

Donate Your Time:

Please contact usif you'd like to become a volunteer for Ryan's Run 2012.


We can use help in all areas of the event including set up, water tables, nutrition tables, setting up and marking the course, registration, runner direction assistance and support, transportation, Kids race direction and assistance, kids activities like face painting, breakdown and clean up, and fundraising, etc.


The RAKMF has worked with local scout troops and other organizations to execute this event and will welcome assistance from schools and other community organizations.

Sponsored Runners

If you are runner who has a social network of people and would like to be individually sponsored for your run in Ryan's Run, please contact us and we can help you set up runner sponsorship.  We partner with CrowdRise.

This is an amazing way to significantly increase the number of people we can help directly.  For example, donated race fees for only two participants can cover a family for a one night stay at a hotel while their child is in the hospital.  If a runner gets multiple people to sponsor him or her in the race, it is easy to understand how much we can do together.
