Announcement - Ryan's Run 2006: Saturday, June 24th

Please join us for and spread the word about Ryan's Run 2006. We had over 400 runners in 2005 and this year we hope to significantly increase that number.

The Mountain Hill School is located on a very private 12 acres that includes a small farm. Bring the kids, they can enjoy the farm animals, and the new playground. We are looking for Runners, Race Volunteers, Family Sponsors and Corporate Sponsors. The money we raise goes to research and directly to families in need.

We will be adding professional race timing to the event this year. This is an important step as our event attracts more and more runners each year and is taking seriously by those who participate. It will help our elite runners and allow our awards volunteers to be better prepared for the awards ceremony.

Funds Distributed
2005 was an excellent year for the RAKMF and we responded by distributing all the funds we raised. In addition to our financial commitments to the Deborah Heart and Lung Center and the Congenital Heart Surgeons Society, we are currently considering a donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Long Branch NJ. Our meeting is scheduled for January 20, 2006. The way in which this contribution is structured is that in reality, for every two runners who run in Ryan's Run 2006, we will be able to pay for a family's overnight stay at the hospital with their child. Your time and donations do make a difference.

We are always interested in hearing from families that have a need so if you know of any, please send us an email or call us. The satisfaction that comes from helping those that reach our to the RAKMF is truly healing!
